Let's get started, let's create a custom blend tea using a step-by-step process: Step 1: Decide which option is right for you. See below for option descriptions. New Blend Non-Exclusive New Blend Exclusive Step 2: Choose a Base Tea Start by selecting a base tea to build your blend upon. Common options include black tea (like Assam or Darjeeling), green tea (such as Sencha or Gunpowder), white tea (like Silver Needle or White Peony), or even caffeine-free options like Rooibos or Honeybush. Step 3: Select Your Spices and Flavorings Consider which spices and flavorings you'd like to incorporate into your blend. Common spices used in a chai blend include ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. You can also experiment with other flavors like citrus zest, vanilla beans, or dried fruits. Step 4: Decide on Additional Ingredients Think about any additional ingredients you'd like to include for depth of flavor or health benefits. Step 7: Blend and Test (we do this for you) We blend your chosen ingredients together thoroughly and brew a small batch of your custom tea blend. We taste the brewed tea and make any necessary adjustments to the proportions of ingredients until we're satisfied with the flavor. Step 8: Package and Enjoy (we do this for you) Once we're sure you will be happy with your blend, we package it and add your custom label. Share your custom tea blend with friends and family or enjoy it yourself whenever you need a comforting cup of tea. Re-Order - Minor Tweaks $39 Minor tweaks can be made such as rearranging the order/flavor profile of existing ingredients. Price includes shipping for one 2oz bag of your new blend. When The Tea Lady is not working on her business, she is spending time with her family. She has a husband, four boys (all grown), several fur babies and feather babies (she's also known as "That Crazy Chicken Lady"), and so far, six grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, crocheting, and a variety of other crafts.. She is a Licensed Nail Technician, Licensed Manicurist Instructor, private educator, and mentor in the beauty industry. All of which go perfectly with a nice cup of tea. I have 4 amazing children on their way to adulthood. It's been quite a journey so far. God led me to NC to make a better life for my children and to marry the love of my life. I am also a chicken mama and quite obsessed with the idea of getting so many more. We came to a small church one morning and loved it from the moment we walked in. There we became a part of a foundations class that our one and only Melodie was teaching. She is one of a kind with so many God given talents. We all got to know each other, and she invited me to work for her in her Grand Tea Shop. Of course, I accepted, and I've loved every step of the way. Not only do I love tea, but after researching and continuing to study, the benefits outweigh anything else it could offer to me personally. I have loved working for Melodie. Tea-Truths (FAQ) Frequently asked questions Product Questions Policy Questions What type of products do you offer? We offer a wide selection of teas and tea accessories, herbs and herbal products, spices, gift packages and subscription boxes. We try to add new items frequently. And occasionally there may be a bath product or other locally crafted product available that goes with some of our teas. These items would be listed in the “Limited Edition” category when they are available. Where are your products made? We custom blend many of our teas and herbal tisanes in-house in small batches. However, the ingredients themselves are grown all over the world as most of them are not native to the United States. We do source from the US when available. Many of the flavor profiles of various teas, herbs, and florals are best when harvested from their native habitat. All of our products are labeled with a complete list of ingredients in order of predominance. We only use natural ingredients in our blends. What if I'm allergic to an ingredient? It is nearly impossible these days to make a product that 100% of the people can use 100% of the time. There are so many variations in allergies and sensitivities that exist. All of our products list all of the ingredients in their product descriptions. Should you be interested in a product that has an ingredient that you are sensitive to, or allergic to, please feel free to contact us. In many cases we can substitute an ingredient for you depending on which product and which ingredient. Teas that come to us pre-blended (not blended in-house) cannot be changed. Please be advised, however, that there may be a minimum purchase for custom formulations and pricing may vary from the original blend pricing. Are your products organic? We do use organic ingredients when available and when not cost prohibitive. While we do not have our facility certified organic, nor are our products certified organic, you can absolutely see what ingredients are organic by looking at our ingredient label on each product. Organic ingredients are indicated with an asterisk (*). Do you offer decaffeinated tea? Most of our herbal tisanes are naturally caffeine-free (there are a few exceptions including a few specific blends and anything that contains Yerba Maté, Guayusa, or Yaupon). We do not offer actual tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf that has been decaffeinated. In our opinion, the process in which the tea leaf undergoes in order to remove the caffeine negatively affects the quality and flavor of the brewed tea. And they are never truly 100% decaffeinated. Decaffeinated teas do not move as fast which means they will remain on our shelves for far too long and we pride ourselves in always providing the freshest, finest quality of tea to our customers. Do you offer private label? We are not currently offering private labeling options for our products. Etiquette (Company Policies) Please review and let us know if you have any questions. Local Pickup: We do offer Local Pickup option for those who are in our area. If you’d like to pick up your order please email us with what you'd like to order and we will pull the order for your. We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup. You will need to pay and pick up your order at our storefront location which is located at 111 w Main Street, #200, Garner, NC 27529 . Privacy Policy: Please be assured that none of your personal information (including, but not limited to: name, address, email address, phone number, payment information, bank account information, etc.) will ever be shared with anyone. All information gathered is for our company use only. Credit Card information is NOT stored for future purchases. Returns/Refunds/Exchanges: We want all of our customers to be happy with their purchases. If you purchase one of our regularly stocked products (excludes custom – see below regarding custom products) and are not happy with it please contact us. We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on custom orders unless there has been an in-house error. Custom orders would be a product that you have requested a specific blend of any of the following (but not limited to): teas, coffees, packaging, labeling. If you are sent the wrong product we will correct the issue. Since many of our products are custom made for each client it is important that you order exactly what you are looking for. If you are in the Garner (or surrounding areas) of NC we have all of our teas available for you to taste and smell to see what your preferences may be. This will ensure that your order is what you expected it to be. Shipping Procedures: Being that each product is blended and packaged at the time the order is placed, there is a minimum 48 business hour turn-around time for processing and shipping (some products may take up to 2 weeks for turn-around). Some custom blends may take more than 2 weeks turn-around time as some ingredients may need to be special order. Should a custom order have longer than a 2 week turn-around time we will contact you with the option to proceed or cancel the order prior to beginning production. We make every effort to get orders processed and shipped ASAP. However, at certain times of the year (ex. holidays) delivery times may be extended due to higher demand, vacation/holiday hours (for both us and our suppliers), and longer shipping times so plan accordingly and message us for current shipping times. We are happy to ship to a PO Box. However, we are not responsible for packages left unclaimed at the post office. Due to the nature of our products we advise having someone personally accept packages. Please be sure to provide a ship-to address that generally has someone present that can accept delivery. We are not responsible for packages left outside by any mail/package carrier. Nor are we responsible for packages that are not picked up or alternate delivery arrangements made once notice is left by the carrier about an attempted delivery of a package. Any errors must be reported within 7 business days of receipt of the package. Please check your packages carefully when they arrive. We generally use USPS for all of our shipping. However, we reserve the right to use the carrier service of our choice. If a specific carrier is requested additional fees may be charged. Wholesale Purchasing: Wholesale purchasing is available to verifiable retail establishments. International Orders: At this time we are only shipping to addresses in the United States (50 states).
