Also known as Mao Xie, Hairy Crab is a distinctive oolong from Fujian Province, China, with a little more presence in the cup than many lighter oolongs. Medium-bodied and beautifully aromatic, it offers naturally occurring notes of gardenia, creamy butter, and honey, with a smooth texture and lingering floral sweetness.

Hairy Crab is especially well suited to re-steeping. Re-steep the same leaves 2–4 times, adding approximately 30–60 seconds to each subsequent infusion. The tightly rolled leaves will continue to open, revealing different layers of their floral, creamy, and naturally sweet character with each steep.
